Building the “Serbian World”: Serbia’s Impact on Security and Stability in the Western Balkans

The Digital Forensic Center of the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, in cooperation with AMO (Association for International Affairs, Prague), is organizing a roundtable workshop dedicated to Serbian influence in the Western Balkan region. The event will be held on 4 October, on the margins of the 2BS Forum in Budva.

This event is part of the project Building the ‘Serbian World’: Serbia’s Impact on Security and Stability in the Western Balkans, supported by the International Visegrad Fund. The project aims to strengthen democratic resilience and good governance in the Western Balkans by fostering regional cooperation and informed dialogue. In particular, it examines Serbia’s asymmetric and hybrid influence in the region and seeks to build local capacity to counter such activities.

The October 4th event will take the form of workshops structured as moderated roundtable discussions, focusing on pre-planned issues and thematic groups linked to the project’s objectives and target areas. The format will bring together local and regional experts, civil society representatives, journalists, municipal and political actors, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a rich and diverse exchange of perspectives.

By convening this discussion, the organizers aim to deepen the understanding of Serbia’s regional influence and to contribute to strengthening resilience, democratic institutions, and cooperation across the Western Balkans.
